Keeping the Creativity at Home with MAGnificent Saturdays - June 20, 2020
Today's MAGnificent Saturdays art activity for you to do at home:
Today you will be creating a huge candy drawing! The grid method is an easy way to enlarge a subject you are drawing.
You can download the instructions here.
What You Need: Paper with 1-inch grid, pencil, reference photo of candy with small grid overlay, various colouring/drawing media.
Step 1. When using the grid method, the subject is placed on or behind a small grid. A larger grid is drawn on the page you will be creating your art on. It may be helpful to number or letter your rows as shown above.
Step 2. Take a look at the candy with the small grid. The idea is to draw what you see in each small square in the matching square on your large grid.
Step 3. Notice how the lines in the drawing are in the same squares as the small candy.
Step 4. Use the material of your choice to colour in your candy creation!
