Keeping the Creativity at Home with miniMAG - March 25, 2020

We know our littlest artists and their families are missing out on miniMAG so we wanted to bring you the activity that was scheduled for today for you to do in your homes!

GLUB, BLUB, UNDERWATER SWIMMER

How do people look underwater? Flowing hair, swimming suits, shimmering water, water toys.

You can download the instructions in an 11x17 pdf format here or the infographic here

What You Need: watercolour paper, board, tape, pastels, paint.

Step 1: Take your watercolour paper and tape all four edges of the sheet to a board or hard surface. Find a reference image to work form. Maybe a photograph of yourself or family swimming?

Step 2: Draw one or more people in swimsuits and colour them with oil pastels.

Step 3: Use white oil pastel to draw a water pattern in the background, using wavy horizonital, vertical and diagonal lines.

Step 4: Paint the picture with blue and/or green diluted paint. All done! Now sit back and admire the movement of your artwork!
