Dear MAG community,

Did you know Alberta Culture Days runs all September this year?

Our family friendly art program, MAGnificent Saturdays, started up this past Saturday, September 12th and is free to attend for the remainder of September in celebration of Alberta Culture Days. Join us on September 19th for Jackson Pollock Inspired Splatter Art, and again on September 26th for Textile Forest Floors. This program runs year-round (when, ahem, pandemics don't force us to close) so if you enjoy the program, consider signing up for a MAG Family Membership to attend the program at no additional cost for the next 12 months!

September 26th will be a busy day at the MAG, with the opening of two new exhibitions (after being slightly delayed): Powwow! Ohcîwin The Origins, and Anne Frank: A History for Today. Curators and creators of Powwow! Ohcîwin The Origins, Marrisa Mitsuing and Patrick Mitsuing, will also be onsite on the afternoon of the 26th. More details to come!

Due to COVID-19 precautions, we will unfortunately not be offering tours of our Collections this year. But, you can have a peek at them, courtesy of this jolly little baby we came across.. in you guessed it, the Collection!

On a final note, visitors to our galleries and attendees of our 'drop-in' art programs are encouraged to pre-book their attendance to the MAG online. Check out the Your Visit page for more details about visiting the galleries, or the Programs page to book a spot in a specific program. Please note that as of September 8th, masks are mandatory for all MAG visitors ages 5+.

Have a great week!
