Here's one more activity to do at home with you little ones.

Keeping the Creativity at Home with MAGnificent Saturdays - September 5, 2020

Today's MAGnificent Saturdays art activity for you to do at home:

Scavenged Scenes

There is a lot you can make with twigs and leaves. Today we are making some natural landscapes.  We will be using a shadow box technique, so your work will be protected.  What scenery will you choose?

Don't forget to tag us on Facebook, Twitter @RedDeerMuseum or Instagram @rdmag #MAGsatathome with your creations! We'd love to see them.

You can download the instructions here.

What You Need: Box/shadow box, Hot Glue Gun, Scavenged Bits and Pieces (twigs and things).

Step 1. Start by painting your box.  It can look like wood or whatever you have in mind.

Step 2.  Think about the space you want to make, colour, balance, textures...

Step 3. If you need to get more items from the park or your yard have a look around (but check with an adult first what you can gather).

Step 4. Build your scavenged scenes!
