Keeping the Creativity at Home with MAGnificent Saturdays - August 29, 2020

Today's MAGnificent Saturdays art activity for you to do at home:

Doodle Landscape

Who doesn’t like to doodle. This is a great way to paint a landscape and have fun. You can doodle anywhere. Today for MAGnificent Saturdays at home you will be creating  a Doodle Landscape!

Don't forget to tag us on Facebook, Twitter @RedDeerMuseum or Instagram @rdmag #MAGsatathome with your creations! We'd love to see them.

You can download the instructions here.

What You Need: Paper, paint pens, imagination.

Step 1. Start with drawing rolling hills. Stack a couple of layers of hills starting from the bottom of the page and work your way up to the middle of the page.

Step 2.  Draw some trees on top of your hills, then fill in your hills (and trees if you like) with doodle patterns.

Step 3. Add a sunshine in the sky, and any other extra elements you want. Get creative and think of textures you might want to create, or repeating shapes that you really love.

Step 4. Fill in any details with what you imagine should be there. Use coloured pencils and crayons to add details.

Step 5. BONUS Feel free to gently add Watercolour washes to your drawing to really bring it to life! *
