Keeping the Creativity at Home with MAGnificent Saturdays - August 22, 2020

Today's MAGnificent Saturdays art activity for you to do at home:

Dancing Gardens

Today is all about flowers that dance in the wind, or jiggle in the center of your
table. Join us for a really fun project that can easily incorporate bugs and grubs! You will be creating a Dancing Garden.

Don't forget to tag us on Facebook, Twitter @RedDeerMuseum or Instagram @rdmag #MAGsatathome with your creations! We'd love to see them.

You can download the instructions here.

What You Need: Colour cardstock, glue, and scissors.

Step 1. Start by cutting two larger green wonky circles; one a bit smaller than the other. Glue one on top of the other.

Step 2.  Pick out your favorite colour combination and cut smaller wonky circles; one smaller than the other. Cut about three of each and then glue the smaller ones on top of the larger ones.

Step 3. Cut out some green leaves. Out of green strips of paper, make an accordion stem for each flower.

Step 4. Glue the flowers to the stems and the stems to the green garden base, then add in your leaves.
