As the MAG is in a City-owned facility, we will be adhering to City of Red Deer policy and taking part in the provincial Restrictions Exemption Program. All staff and visitors to the building must wear masks and practice social distancing at all times. Check out our recent blog post for recent announcements about visitation and program restrictions. Good afternoon, MAG Community!

Our Week @ the Museum: Summer Camps got started last week. Check out participants' virtual exhibit here!

Due to the unprecedented times we are living through, we understand it may be challenging to commit to a full week worth of camp this year.

Beginning the week of July 20th, we will start offering single day attendance in our Summer Camps.

  • there are a limited number of single-day spaces available in each camp week.
  • the cost for single day attendance is $35/child for MAG members, and $40/child for non-members.
  • all single day registrations must be completed via phone (403.309.8405). Only week-long registrations will continue to be offered online.

As the situation with COVID-19 continues to evolve, our Child and Parent Information sheet has evolved further, as well. See the most up-to-date version here. Of particular note, is the reintroduction of 'field trips', in part due to the July 9th reopening of the Blue Grass Central Spray and Play, located a short walk from the MAG. While we will still not be offering any field trips that require transportation, there are plenty of opportunities to play and explore within walking distance and in the Rotary Recreation Park (the immediate area surrounding the MAG). Please ensure you review our updated information sheet, and send a bathing suit and towel with your child!
