These week-long summer camps offer your child a fun way to meet new friends and experience hands-on activities in a museum / gallery setting while maintaining safe social distancing.Students will create numerous artworks, learn to explore artifacts, experience our Log School House, and more – all within our COVID-19 protocols.
Each week, we will have a guest artist for the day to expand campers' artmaking skills and creativity. Artworks created at the camp will be virtually exhibited following each camp for families to enjoy.
Download the Annual Registration and Field Trip Waiver forms, fill them out and either email them to the museum, or bring them by in person a minimum of 3 business days prior to the camp start date.
Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 10 am - 4:30 pm.
These virtual camps will offer icebreaker games, the exploration of museum artifacts, history fun facts, and gallery tours. Log into the museum virtually and create art projects with our artistic leaders along with a special guest artist each week.
We have three virtual artist talks planned this summer: join Jude Griebel, international artist; Ken Housego, Canadian artist; and local artist, Matt Gould to learn about their artistic practice right from their studios. These talks are accessible to all summer camp students registered on any date.
These virtual camps are a ‘safe and convenient way’ to offer our programs to Red Deer and Central Alberta's teen community!
