Create your own snowflake pendant with award winning metal artist, Teena Dickerson. Learn to cut, file, drill, sand, and polish your own unique wearable art with our local experienced metalsmith and art educator. All tools and materials are provided, and no experience is required.
About the Artist:
Teena Dickerson is a metal artist and art educator dedicated to creativity and passion. She graduated from the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design in 1995.
In 2013, Teena received a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree at the University of New Brunswick and then moved to Central Alberta to study at the University of Calgary completing a Masters of Education focussing on creativity and self realization. Teena works from her home studio in the softly rolling hills of Delburne, Alberta and had been awarded Emerging Artist 2018 from the Red Deer Arts Council.
Teena specializes in traditional jewelry and sculpting techniques including carving, lost wax casting, and hand fabrication working in bronze, sterling silver, gold, stone, and bone. Teena Dickerson’s metal sculptural works contemplate spiritual themes, communion, citizenry, and the symbolic languages of flora and fauna.
