As the MAG is in a City-owned facility, we are adhering to City of Red Deer policy and taking part in the provincial Restrictions Exemption Program. home School days at the museum

A unique atmosphere where homeschool students can come together every month from September to April to create & learn.

There is no Winter 2022 Homeschool Term scheduled.

We are re-evaluating how the Homeschool History program runs. If you are interested in attending Homeschool History in the future, please contact us, or consider joining our mailing list to stay in the loop with everything Homeschool. 


For REGISTERED PROGRAMS (Day Camps, Home School, School Programs) participants age 12-17 can take part in their activities without proof of vaccination, exemption or negative COVID-19 test.

The following restrictions are in place: 

If you or your child are feeling unwell in any way, please stay home and do not attend the MAG. There will be a verbal symptom check for each participant at the beginning of each day’s session.

These restrictions have been put into place as a result of the City of Red Deer's September 17th, 2021 announcement and will be effective beginning September 20th, 2021.


Effective Fall 2021, pricing is as follows:

Individual Classes (3 or less) $12.50/class
Full Term (4 classes) $40/term
Full Term registrations are available up until the first class of the term.

Limited availability. All Homeschool History fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.


Available Grade Levels

PRE-K approximate age: 3-4
GRADE K-2 approximate age: 5-7
GRADE 3-5 approximate age: 8-10
GRADE 6+ approximate age: 11+
The grade level you register your child in prior to the commencement of the term (a term refers to Sept-Dec; Jan-Apr) is the grade level they will remain in for the duration of the term.
