As the MAG is in a City-owned facility, we are adhering to City of Red Deer policy and taking part in the provincial Restrictions Exemption Program. Visitors aged 12 and older will need to provide proof of vaccination, proof of vaccination exemption, or proof of a negative test result. Check out this blog post for information about visitation and program restrictions.
Art Speaks is a learning series held on select Wednesday evenings co-presented by the Red Deer Arts Council (RDAC) and Red Deer Museum + Art Gallery (MAG).
We are excited to announce that for the next year, all Art Speaks sessions will be free to attend, thanks to ATB Branch for Arts and Culture! While there is currently no admission fee for this program, pre-registration is required due to limited availability.

NOTICE (September 17, 2021) - Registered Adult programs
The Red Deer Museum + Art Gallery will continue to offer registered adult programs (MAGSampler, Beading Basics, Art Speaks, and other registered talks) with the following restrictions in place:
Masks are required for all program attendees
Our registered programs are already operating at a reduced capacity in order to accommodate for the necessary amount of physical distancing.
For programs that the MAG is providing supplies, individual supply kits will be available to minimize the amount of shared tools.
All attendees will be required to provide proof of vaccination, documentation of a medical exemption, or proof of a privately-paid negative PCR or rapid test within 72 hours of service in accordance with the Alberta Government’s restriction exemption program. The MAG has the pleasure of serving many communities within Central Alberta, many of which are considered at risk, and this restriction is in place for the health and safety of all visitors and staff.
If you are feeling unwell in any way, please stay home and do not attend the MAG.
For payment based programs, refunds will be available if you are unable to attend due to illness. Please call us for more information regarding refunds.
(For free programs) Appointments can be canceled online up to an hour before the scheduled time, or you can call 587-797-4040 to cancel your appointment.
