International Peace Day

Sep 21st, 2018

5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join the Red Deer Museum + Art Gallery (MAG) and the Central Alberta Refugee Effort (CARE) from 5-8 pm on September 21st as we celebrate International Peace Day at the MAG!

Our galleries are open from 5-8 pm for viewing. Check out our permanent history exhibit, Remarkable Red Deer: Stories from the Heart of the Parkland, and of course, Amy Loewan's House Inspiring Peace! For over two decades, Amy Loewan has been exploring powerful visual metaphors of peace and harmony. In this exhibition, Amy invites viewers to contemplate on the meaning of peace and what they can do to make this world a better place.

From 6:30-8 pm, we will be making Trading Cards for Peace in our Stewart Discovery Studio. Make one, and pass one along! Take a snack break and break bread from around the world.

This event is free to attend, and open to everyone!
