“To Canada With Love” Named a New and Exciting Way to Celebrate Canada

Canada Day has passed, but Canada 150 celebrations are still happening across the country. The Red Deer Museum and Art Gallery will be celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday all summer long with the “To Canada With Love” exhibit. In fact, “To Canada With Love” has received so much acclaim, it was recently named one of 91 incredible ways to celebrate Canada 150 by Canada’s leading online global travel agency, FlightNetwork.com.

“To Canada With Love,” is a portrait of our great country by photographer Tim van Horn. Van Horn embarked on a TransCanada journey that lasted eight years, venturing into the heart of the nation and uncovering many of the people and places Canadian citizens and tourists rarely see. The artist combined thousands of portraits into images that represent Canada’s collective humanity and its history of 150 years as a nation of truly unique people.

The exhibit, taking place through Aug. 20, was chosen by Flight Network as one of 91 incredible ways to celebrate Canada 150 for its unique view into Canadian culture. Instead of portraying one city or region, the exhibit introduces Red Deer Museum visitors to the diverse people and cultures that make this country so special. Flight Network’s team of travel experts also enjoyed that the exhibit will draw visitors into an exciting art and history museum that they may not have planned on visiting during their summer trip to Alberta.

We couldn’t agree with the Flight Network team more. Tim van Horn’s “To Canada With Love” exhibit is certainly one of the best ways to celebrate the lives and heritage of all Canadians during this landmark year.
